Women in Fishery in Senegal - Between Tradition and Modernity - At the roots of Emigration
Raise awareness of a deeper understanding of the role of women in fishery in their society through
their relationship to the sacred - together with the traditional role in their daily work - in comparison with current working conditions - in their culture threatened by the fishing crisis, the globalization and not least the migration.
Next Project in
Programming:
BUILDING A BRIDGE BETWEEN AFRICA AND EUROPE:
- For on-site sustainability and the reduction of emigration
- In collaboration with migrants from West Africa who live in Europe and represent here their culture in an exemplary way
IN COOPERATION WITH:
- Gabin Dabiré, composer, singer and poet, from Burkina Faso, is living in Italy for decades.
He was defined by Herbie Hancock as "the new synthesis of African music".
- Moustapha Dembélé, composer and musician, from a traditional ‘Griot’ family,
lives between Mali and Italy.

We believe that from the deep communication of the cultural roots of African emigrants more respect could be generated in an exemplary way towards people of a different cultural origin. Too often there is substantial prejudice about the "poor" African continent - battered by slavery, colonialism and civil wars - by transferring these aspects to the spiritual and cultural values of African society.
